There’s a common misconception that it’s always sunny in Dubai and there’s no such thing as a “real winter” in the middle-east. Dubai residents know that this isn’t exactly true, Since Dubai is in the desert, during this period we tend to have warm days and really cold nights. You may have heard that it snowed in the UAE earlier this month so it’s not always non-stop sunshine. If you spend the day out in Dubai you might be able to get by without a jacket but by evening you will most likely be needing an extra layer or two.
I love to cover up, and play with different styles and textures during the winter. This poncho I’m wearing, is from Amadea clothing, (similar style here) it is very versatile and works really well as a cover-up for when it gets cold and windy. The texture is just beautiful, and it brings a bit of mid-western vibes to a middle-eastern winter. I paired it with my camisole river island, (get it on sale here) my black jeans from top shop, (get them for less at H&M here) and my pumps from nine west.
